After 8 years in a call center and years of 2-hours-a-night food stalls, Vanessa took Chef Joey Prats' ensaymada class. One Instagram post landed a bulk order, and she reinvested every peso into an oven.

Ahlee's Salted Caramel Cakes · Santa Maria, Bulacan

Ten years at sea, then home to care for her newborn and her father. Her first TBA class was Salted Caramel Cake. A newspaper feature later brought orders from outside Bulacan.

First cake sold out in under 5 minutes.

Aji Canicula: 26 sqm stall → 500 sqm restaurant

Lucio Cafe & Restaurant · Silang, Cavite

Aji was a "silent reader" in our student group since 2018. She enrolled during the pandemic, opened pizza delivery in the middle of lockdown, and grew it into a full restaurant on family land.

500 sqm restaurant, 5 staff, regular 60-pack catering orders.

Jonalyn Untalan: Stay-at-home mom → restaurateur

Family FavorEats · San Pedro, Laguna

A mom of three who learned to cook in a dorm. A franchise didn't let her control her own menu, so she built her own brand. TBA's food costing training helped her absorb rising ingredient prices without raising menu prices.

Now runs a Filipino comfort-food restaurant.

Abby Tuazon: Cancer survivor → wedding cake baker

Abby's Homemade Goodies · Bocaue, Bulacan

After stage 2 ovarian cancer, her doctors advised a career change. Abby started from zero baking knowledge, found Chef RV Manabat's class at TBA, and now bakes for weddings and every occasion.

From her first over-baked attempt to wedding orders.

Marcial Flores: Dubai designer → hopia maker

M Panadero · Philippines

Marcial started with ₱1,000 capital and a hopia that "still felt incomplete." Chef Jimbo's hopia workshop finally gave him the right crust. Today it's his full-time retirement business.

300–400 pieces of hopia sold per day.
